Departure from Puerto de Mogán: A Seaside Paradise

The trip begins in Puerto de Mogán, known as the “Little Venice” of Gran Canaria for its canals and picturesque charm. This fishing and tourist enclave is the ideal starting point for an Atlantic Ocean adventure. As we set sail, we leave behind colorful houses and docked yachts, heading into crystal-clear waters. Depending on the season, it’s possible to spot dolphins and sea turtles, as this area is home to a rich marine biodiversity.

Sailing Along the Stunning Southwestern Coast

As the boat heads west, the coastline offers dramatic views of volcanic cliffs, with rock walls rising sharply from the sea. We pass by spots like Veneguera, with its impressive untouched beach, and Tabaibales, where geological formations tell the volcanic history of the island.

El Tabadaba: A Legendary Spot

One of the most fascinating points along the route is El Tabadaba, a huge sea cave opening at the base of the cliffs. Güigüí is a beach of dark sand and crystal-clear waters, framed by towering cliffs. Upon arrival, the boat usually anchors near the shore, allowing passengers to swim to the beach and enjoy a completely untouched setting. It’s the perfect place to relax, snorkel, and truly disconnect—here, there are no roads, hotels, or any form of human construction.
